HRM 280 Management Problems-Hospitality Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course is designed to introduce students to timely issues within the hospitality industry and is intended to move students into a managerial mindset. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving skills using currently available resources. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of how hospitality management principles may be applied to real challenges facing industry managers.
Pre-requisite(s): HRM 110. Course is typically offered in Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Analyze problems faced by hospitality managers in industry case studies.
- Present an oral report of a case study using facilitation techniques.
- Apply management techniques in situational role plays.
