RAD 112 RAD Procedures II Lecture: 3 Lab: 3 Clinic: 0 Credits: 4 This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to perform standard radiographic procedures. Emphasis is placed on radiography of the skull, spine, and gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary systems. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate competence in these areas.
Pre-requisite(s): RAD 110 , RAD 111 , and RAD 151 . Course is typically offered in Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Distinguish relevant radiographic anatomy on bones, system models, graphics, and images.
- Simulate accurate positioning for spine, gastrointestinal procedures, biliary, skull, urinary and other medical imaging procedures based on criteria.
- Critique images of spine, gastrointestinal, biliary, skull, urinary, and other medical imaging procedures for radiographic criteria.
- Implement best practices for radiation safety during radiographic examinations.
