NOS 221 Linux/UNIX Admin II Lecture: 2 Lab: 2 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course includes skill building in configuring common network services and security administration using Linux. Topics include server-side setup, configuration, basic administration of common networking services, and security administration using Linux. Upon completion, students should be able to setup a Linux server and configure common network services including security requirements.
Pre-requisite(s): NOS 220 . Course is typically offered in Spring. Course has transfer restrictions - 10 years
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Configure common network services and security administration using Linux.
- Implement server-side setup and configuration for Linux servers.
- Configure administration of common networking services.
- Implement security administration using Linux.
