ART 282 Sculpture II Lecture: 0 Lab: 6 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course builds on the visual and technical skills learned in ART 281. Emphasis is placed on developing original solutions to sculptural problems in a variety of media. Upon completion, students should be able to express individual ideas using the techniques and materials of sculpture.
This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
Pre-requisite(s): ART 281 . Course is typically offered in (check with department). Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate higher skill levels of material handling and surface execution.
- Demonstrate increased proficiency and originality of creative expression in sculptural.
- Explore concepts that reflect specific assignments.
- Create an advanced body of three-dimensional projects that explore a personal direction.
- Analyze historical and contemporary sculpture.
- Analyze one’s own sculptural projects as well as those of classmates.
