DEN 220 Dental Hygiene Theory III

This course provides a continuation in developing the theories and practices of patient care. Topics include periodontal debridement, pain control, subgingival irrigation, air polishing, and case presentations. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of methods of treatment and management of periodontally compromised patients. Pre-requisite(s): DEN 140. Co-requisite(s): DEN 221.
