Computer Integrated Machining - Intermediate Conventional Machining Certificate

The Intermediate Conventional Machining Certificate continues where the Basic Conventional Certificate ended. The students further their manual machining skills by learning fixtures, indexing, rotary work, group projects and surface grinding.  This certificate cannot be earned until students have completed the Basic Conventional Certificate.

Program Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Intermediate Conventional Machining certificate, the graduate should be able to:

  • Complete advanced projects using milling machines, bench grinders, power saws, lathes, and drill presses
  • Students completing this certificate will acquire a minimum of up to 2 National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
