Upon the completion of this diploma program, students should possess the essential knowledge to develop the skills necessary to work with residential and light commercial comfort systems. Topics include heating and air conditioning theory, heat pumps, electricity, HVAC controls, refrigeration, and safety.
Program Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration diploma, the graduate should be able to:
- Apply industry standards and theory to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, controls, and refrigeration systems.
- Attain certification to perform service according to EPA 608 regulations.
- Employ personal and professional ethics and interpersonal skills expected in the workplace.
