Information Technology - IT Systems Support Certificate

The IT Systems Support Certificate prepares graduates for the following external certifications: CompTIA A+ Certification; CompTIA Linux+; and Ubuntu Certified Professional. In addition to these certifications, students will learn how to build a computer, troubleshoot hardware and software, install operating systems, and manage multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux).   Job opportunities may include desktop support, help desk technician, and entry level IT support.

Upon successful completion of the IT Systems Support certificate, graduates should be able to:

  • Analyze the technical needs of end-users.
  • Use appropriate software to fulfill business requirements.
  • Explain the difference between various common operating systems.
  • Examine various hardware components and their purpose.
