HMT 220 Healthcare Financial ManagementLecture: 4 Lab: 0 Clinic: 0 Credits: 4
This course covers the methods and techniques utilized in the financial management of healthcare programs. Topics include cost determination, pricing of services, financial statement analysis, forecasting/projections, third-party billing, reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, and budgeting. Upon completion, students should be able to interpret and apply the principles of financial management in a healthcare environment. Pre-requisite(s): OST 138 , ACC 120 and HMT 110.
Course is offered in Fall and Spring.
