ACC 150 Accounting Software Applications

This course introduces microcomputer applications related to accounting systems. Topics include general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, payroll, and correcting, adjusting, and closing entries. Upon completion, students should be able to use a computer accounting package to accurately solve accounting problems.

Pre-requisite(s): ACC 115 or ACC 120 .
Course is typically offered in Spring.

At completion of the course, the student should be able to do the following:

Set up a computerized accounting system for companies in a variety of businesses.
Input data to record routine business transactions.
Prepare financial reports for the business using accounting software.
Maintain inventory in a computerized accounting system.
Record information regarding accounts Receivable/Payable in a computerized environment.
Create payroll data in an automated environment.
