CAR 113 Carpentry III

Lecture: 3 Lab: 9 Clinic: 0 Credits: 6
This course covers interior trim and finishes. Topics include safety, hand/power tool use, measurement and layout, specialty framing, interior trim and finishes, cabinetry, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to safely install various interior trim and finishes in a residential building with supervision.

Pre-requisite(s): CAR 111 .
Course is typically offered in Summer.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:

  1. Install components to properly dry in a structure.
  2. Install window trim.
  3. Cope interior moldings.
  4. Install exterior siding.
