CCT 250 Network Vulnerabilities I

This course introduces students to penetration testing, network vulnerabilities, and hacking. Topics include an overview of traditional network security, system hardening, and known weaknesses. Upon completion, students should be able to evaluate weaknesses of traditional and wireless networks for the purpose of incident response, reconstruction, and forensic investigation.

Course is typically offered in Fall.

At the completion of the course, a student will be able to do the following:

  1. Explain the digital forensics profession and investigations.
  2. Perform network analysis based on a given scenario.
  3. Explore different file systems in relation to forensic recovery.
  4. Use current forensic tools in a network environment.
