CSC 289 Programming Capstone Project

Lecture: 1 Lab: 4 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3
This course provides an opportunity to complete a significant programming project from the design phase through implementation with minimal instructor support. Emphasis is placed on project definition, testing, presentation, and implementation. Upon completion, students should be able to complete a project from the definition phase through implementation.

Pre-requisite(s): Take CTI 110  , CTI 120  ,  and CTS 115 .
Course is typically offered in Spring.
Course has transfer restrictions - 10 years

Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At completion of the course, the student should be able to do the following:

  1. Design a computerized system that meets the needs of an organization.
  2. Plan a database which meets the needs of an organization for the computerized system.
  3. Prepare a hardware and software budget that meets the needs of an organization.
  4. Summarize the steps required to use the system.
