LSG 231 Landscape Supervision Lecture: 2 Lab: 6 Clinic: 0 Credits: 4 This course provides experience in planning, implementing, and supervising various landscape management projects. Emphasis is placed on supervisory skills, organizing, and scheduling. Upon completion, students should be able to supervise employees in various landscape management jobs.
Pre-requisite(s): LSG 123 and HOR 161. Course is typically offered in Fall and Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Create a written landscape management plan to be used in the plant id garden on the Greensboro Campus.
- Schedule work for landscapers to complete a summer garden project in the lab on the Greensboro Campus.
- Supervise students and a work study student in the id garden for summer semester.
- Organize tools, plant supplies, equipment for a landscape management plan in a written report.
