AUB 150 Automotive Detailing Lecture: 1 Lab: 3 Clinic: 0 Credits: 2 This course covers the methods and procedures used in automotive detailing facilities. Topics include safety, engine, interior and trunk compartment detailing, buffing/polishing exterior surfaces, and cleaning and reconditioning exterior trim, fabrics, and surfaces. Upon completion, students should be able to improve the overall appearance of a vehicle.
Pre-requisite(s): AUB 112 . Course is typically offered in Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Create a vehicle detail checklist.
- Demonstrate interior compartment cleaning/detailing.
- Demonstrate engine bay cleaning/detailing.
- Demonstrate trunk compartment cleaning/detailing.
- Demonstrate exterior surfaces cleaning and reconditioning.
- Demonstrate tire & wheel cleaning/detailing.
