AUB 160 Body Shop Operations

This course introduces the day-to-day operations of autobody repair facilities. Topics include work habits and ethics, customer relations, equipment types, materials cost and control, policies and procedures, shop safety and liabilities, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to understand the general operating policies and procedures associated with an autobody repair facility.

Pre-requisite(s): AUB 122 .
Course is typically offered in Spring.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:

  1. Identify shop safety and liability issues.
  2. Create a customer relations plan.
  3. Create an EPA compliance plan.
  4. Create a standard operating procedure (SOP).
  5. Create a shop policies & procedures document.
  6. Create an operating cost spread sheet.
