GRD 152 Computer Design Tech I

Lecture: 1 Lab: 4 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3
This course covers complex design problems utilizing various design and drawing software applications. Topics include the expressive use of typography, image, and organization to communicate a message. Upon completion, students should be able to use appropriate computer software to professionally present their work.

Pre-requisite(s): GRD 151 .
Course is typically offered in Spring.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following: 

Apply knowledge of appropriate electronic imaging data and input options. 

Prepare typographic solutions to design problems using appropriate software.

Demonstrate the ability to combine multiple images.

Demonstrate color correction and photo retouching. 

Produce media for print production.

Demonstrate the ability to use a page layout program to create multi-page documents.
