AET 228 Avionics FCC Preparation Lecture: 1 Lab: 2 Clinic: 0 Credits: 2 This course introduces students to the study of preparing for the Federal Communications Commission General Radio Telephone License examination. Topics covered include avionics circuits, troubleshooting techniques, aviation transmitters and receivers, antennas, Federal Communications Commission rules, and a review of test taking techniques. Upon completion, students should be prepared for the Federal Communications Commission General Radio Telephone License or similar examination.
Course is typically offered in Summer. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Conduct Computer based studying and testing for the Radiotelephone FCC GROL License, plus the Ship Radar Endorsement License.
- Upon completion student will successfully test for elements 1 and 3.
