OST 137 Office Applications I Lecture: 2 Lab: 2 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course introduces the concepts and functions of software that meets the changing needs of the community. Emphasis is placed on the terminology and use of software through a hands-on approach. Upon completion, students should be able to use software in a business environment.
Course is typically offered in Fall. Course has transfer restrictions - 5 years
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to complete the following using the specified version of Microsoft Office and evaluated by the course rubrics provided for each:
- Demonstrate basic word processing functions of MS Word.
- Demonstrate basic spreadsheet functions of MS Excel.
- Demonstrate basic database functions of MS Access.
- Demonstrate basic presentation functions of MS PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate basic functions of MS Outlook.
