ART 265 Digital Photography II Lecture: 0 Lab: 6 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course provides exploration of the concepts and processes of photo manipulation through complex composite images, special effects, color balancing and image/text integration. Emphasis is placed on creating a personal vision and style. Upon completion, students should be able to produce well-executed images using a variety of photographic and photo manipulative approaches.
This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
Pre-requisite(s): ART 264 . Course is typically offered in Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At completion of the course, the student should be able to do the following:
- Create a body of work that demonstrates technical, formal, and conceptual skill using the medium of photography.
- Manipulate photos using software and camera tools.
- Demonstrate export & import functions in the creative workflow.
- Evaluate photography through critique.
- Demonstrate multiple presentation methods, including large format printing, as a final display method.
- Prepare artwork appropriately for presentation.
- Demonstrate the development of concepts and photography techniques by maintaining a comprehensive sketchbook.
