OST 159 Office Ethics Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course introduces the complex ethical and legal issues involved in the role of administrative support personnel in a variety of offices. Emphasis is placed on ethics, diversity, morality, and ethical standards of the administrative support professional. Upon completion, students should be able to conduct themselves in an ethical manner appropriate to a variety of offices.
Course is typically offered in Fall. Course has transfer restrictions - 5 years
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the student will complete each of the following tasks on tests, written assignments, and activities using the course grading rubrics:
- Explore ethical issues involved in the role of administrative support personnel in the office.
- Evaluate ethical implications of various office situations.
- Apply various diversity and moral standards challenging the office professional.
