AUT 213 Automotive Servicing 2

Lecture: 1 Lab: 3 Clinic: 0 Credits: 2
This course is a lab used as an alternative to co-op placement. Emphasis is placed on shop operations, troubleshooting, testing, adjusting, repairing, and replacing components using appropriate test equipment and service information. Upon completion, students should be able to perform a variety of automotive repairs using proper service procedures and to operate appropriate equipment.

Pre-requisite(s): AUT 113  
Course is typically offered in Spring.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:

  1. Retrieve scan tool information on an OBDII vehicle.
  2. Evaluate diagnostic equipment information to determine a fault with a vehicle’s HVAC system.
  3. Repair a mechanical fault with vehicle engine.
  4. Locate a problem in vehicle electrical system.
  5. Perform a vehicle multi-point service check.
