BPR 130 Print Reading-Construction Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course covers the interpretation of prints and specifications that are associated with design and construction projects. Topics include interpretation of documents for foundations, floor plans, elevations, and related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to read and interpret construction prints and documents.
Course is typically offered in Fall. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Identify abbreviations, symbols, and the alphabet of lines.
- Use an architectural scale on a blueprint.
- Describe the types of information listed on plan, elevation, and section views.
- Compare information shown on sections and details drawings.
- Determine the precise size and location of all components required to construct a building.
