GRA 151 Computer Graphics I

Lecture: 1 Lab: 3 Clinic: 0 Credits: 2
This course introduces the use of hardware and software for production and design in graphic arts. Topics include graphical user interface and current industry uses such as design, layout, typography, illustration, and imaging for production. Upon completion, students should be able to understand and use the computer as a fundamental design and production tool.

Course is typically offered in Fall.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:

  1. Generate design solutions using ideation techniques. 
  2. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Mac/Windows operating system. 
  3. Manipulate vector-based design elements within assignment parameters. 
  4. Produce vector-based media for appropriate output. 
  5. Manipulate appropriate vector-based tools to meet the desired criteria.
