HUM 122 Southern Culture

This course explores the major qualities that make the South a distinctive region. Topics include music, politics, literature, art, religion, race relations, and the role of social class in historical and contemporary contexts. Upon completion, students should be able to identify the characteristics that distinguish Southern culture.

This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a general education course in Humanities/Fine Arts.

Pre-requisite(s): ENG-002 or ENG 025
Course is typically offered in Fall and Spring.
