OST 164 Office Editing

This course provides an in-depth exploration of editing skills essential for the office. Emphasis is placed on grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, proofreading, and editing. Upon completion, students should be able to proficiently compose and edit text and documents for the workplace.

Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the student will successfully demonstrate the following skills as assessed using the grading rubric for the course:

  1. Apply the key rules of sentence structure to written office documents.
  2. Apply the key rules of punctuation to written office documents. 
  3. Apply rules of capitalization and numbers to written office documents.
  4. Apply proofreading techniques to various types of business documents to identify and correct grammar errors.
