MAC 131 Blueprint Reading-Machining I Lecture: 1 Lab: 2 Clinic: 0 Credits: 2 This course covers the basic principles of blueprint reading and sketching. Topics include multi-view drawings; interpretation of conventional lines; and dimensions, notes, and thread notations. Upon completion, students should be able to interpret basic drawings, visualize parts, and make pictorial sketches.
Course is typically offered in Fall and Summer. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Determine part characteristics from notes.
- Determine part features from a working drawing.
- Determine drawing types.
- Determine line types from a working drawing.
