The Medical Office Administration-Healthcare Administration AAS is designed for individuals seeking positions as a front-line supervisor, office manager, or patient services coordinator in medical and dental offices, hospitals, and insurance companies. Students will develop skills in healthcare administration and human resources management, along with medical terminology, document editing and formatting, MS Office software applications, office-related mathematical computations, office procedures, medical insurance and billing, medical legal and ethical issues, and electronic health records. Coursework also includes enhancement of employability skills, i.e., oral and written communication, critical thinking, team building, and problem solving.
