Associate in Arts to Bachelor of Science/Arts in Political Science Pathway

The two-year program listed below is designed to meet the requirements for an Associate of Arts transfer degree from GTCC and prepare a student for obtaining a Bachelor of Science/Arts in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, North Carolina A&T State University, Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

However, students from GTCC seeking a baccalaureate degree may also transfer to other institutions. These institutions may require different courses within the various areas of General Education. Students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university after GTCC should consult with the institution they will be attending, the faculty advisor and/or the GTCC Student Success Center.

Notes:


1 UNC-G requires a UGETC math. UNC-C requires MAT-171/MAT-171A and MAT-152. UNC-C requires a UGETC MAT and MAT-151/MAT-151A. ASU requires a Math UGETC and MAT-151/MAT-151A. UNC-W requires two Math UGETC courses. NC A&T requires MAT-171 and MAT-171A and MAT-172 and MAT-172A.

2 UNC-G, UNC-C, ASU, and UNC-W require 4 semesters of foreign language. NC A&T requires 2 semesters.

3 ASU requires two hours of PED.

4 UNC-G, UNC-C, UNC-W require one UGETC Natural Science. ASU requires 2 UGETC Natural Sciences. NC A&T requires AST-151 and AST-151A or PHY-110 and PHY 110A.
