AUB 131 Structural Damage I

This course introduces safety, equipment, structural damage analysis, and damage repairs. Topics include shop safety, design and construction, structural analysis and measurement, equipment, structural glass, repair techniques, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze and perform repairs to a vehicle which has received light/moderate structural damage.

Utilize safety equipment and procedures associated with structural repairs.
Anchor a vehicle based on construction design and manufacturer recommendations.
Summarize the main parts of a structural pulling system.
Distinguish the three types of pulling systems and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Explain five types of vehicle damage.
Summarize five types of measuring systems.
Create a repair plan based on vehicle damage analysis.
Perform light to moderate repairs to structurally damaged vehicles.
