GRA 162 Computer Graphics Applications II

This course is designed to provide additional hands-on training using computer software and hardware for production and design in graphic arts. Emphasis is placed on utilizing various computer software and hardware to produce intermediate graphic arts projects. Upon completion, students should be able to effectively use the computer as a graphic arts production tool.

Co-requisite(s): GRA 152.  
Course is typically offered in Spring.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:

  1. Produce final portfolio quality projects using electronic imaging application.
  2. Evaluate various electronic imaging data and input options.
  3. Distinguish the difference between print and web electronic graphics.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to creatively combine images.
  5. Explore various image file formats.
  6. Complete basic color correction and photo retouching.
