GRD 111 Typography II

This course is a continuation of GRD 110.  Emphasis is placed on solving challenging typographic problems. Upon completion, students should be able to understand and demonstrate advanced typographic applications.

Pre-requisite(s): C or better in GRD 110.  
Course is typically offered in Spring.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:

  1. Identify a specific set of typefaces.
  2. Use appropriate typographic terminology in critiques.
  3. Create solutions to typographic problems in appropriate software programs.
  4. Integrate type and image effectively in various projects.
  5. Demonstrate use of advanced typographic applications to solve design challenges in various projects.
