GRD 111 Typography II Lecture: 2 Lab: 3 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course is a continuation of GRD 110. Emphasis is placed on solving challenging typographic problems. Upon completion, students should be able to understand and demonstrate advanced typographic applications.
Pre-requisite(s): C or better in GRD 110. Course is typically offered in Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Identify a specific set of typefaces.
- Use appropriate typographic terminology in critiques.
- Create solutions to typographic problems in appropriate software programs.
- Integrate type and image effectively in various projects.
- Demonstrate use of advanced typographic applications to solve design challenges in various projects.
