GRD 241 Graphic Design III Lecture: 2 Lab: 4 Clinic: 0 Credits: 4 This course is an advanced exploration of various techniques and media for advertising and graphic design. Emphasis is placed on advanced concepts and solutions to complex and challenging graphic design problems. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate competence and professionalism in visual problem solving.
Pre-requisite(s): C or better in DES 136 or GRD 142. Co-requisite(s): None Course is typically offered in Fall. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Generate design solutions using ideation techniques.
- Apply advanced design principles and elements.
- Analyze design elements and principles through use of appropriate terminology to critique thumbnail and rough development of major projects.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of typography and images in assigned projects.
