GRD 242 Graphic Design IV Lecture: 2 Lab: 4 Clinic: 0 Credits: 4 This course is a continuation of GRD 241. Emphasis is placed on using advanced media techniques, concepts, strategies, and professionalism in all aspects of design. Upon completion, students should be able to conceptualize, create, and produce designs for reproduction.
Pre-requisite(s): C or better in GRD 241. Co-requisite(s): None Course is typically offered in Spring. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Generate design solutions using ideation techniques.
- Analyze design elements through class critiques.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of typography and images based on project criteria.
- Create computer generated mechanical art and die guide.
- Design a visual Identity System.
