GRD 281 Design of Advertising Lecture: 1 Lab: 3 Clinic: 0 Credits: 2 This course covers the development of advertising. Emphasis is placed on the development and production of advertising structure campaigns and materials using design principles. Upon completion, students should be able to produce advertising for targeted audiences.
Pre-requisite(s): GRD 142 Course is typically offered in Fall Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At the completion of the course, the students should be able to do the following:
- Create advertising design projects from conception to completion.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking skills as they apply to the planning and production of advertising materials.
- Apply foundations of marketing/design principles to materials created as part of an advertising campaign.
- Analyze target audience research data strategically as it applies to ad campaign creation.
- Describe ethical and legal implications in advertising.
