Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
At completion of the course, the student should be able to do the following:

  1. Apply ACCA Manual J and D standards to residential heating and cooling loads.
  2. Identify the airflow capacities of duct components.
  3. Calculate heating and cooling loads using Manual J tables.
  4. Select appropriate heating and cooling equipment based on load calculations.
  5. Apply psychrometric principles to HVAC system design for residential applications.
