HIS 111 World Civilizations ILecture: 3 Lab: 0 Clinic: 0 Credits: 3 This course introduces world history from the dawn of civilization to the early modern era. Topics include Eurasian, African, American, and Greco-Roman civilizations and Christian, Islamic, and Byzantine cultures. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in pre-modern world civilizations. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a general education course in Social/Behavioral Sciences. This is a Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) course. Pre-requisite(s): DRE 097 or ENG 002
Course is offered in Fall, Spring, and Summer.
