ELC 112 DC/AC Electricity Lecture: 3 Lab: 6 Clinic: 0 Credits: 5 This course introduces the fundamental concepts of and computations related to DC/AC electricity. Emphasis is placed on DC/AC circuits, components, operation of test equipment; and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to construct, verify, and analyze simple DC/AC circuits.
Co-requisite(s): MAT 003 (P2 grade) or ELC 126 . Course is typically offered in Fall. Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) At completion of the course, the student should be able to do the following:
- Identify the fundamental principles of AC/DC circuits.
- Calculate Ohms and Watts Laws for AC/DC circuits.
- Apply knowledge of AC/DC circuits to practical problems.
